Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has begun construction of a completely new hypertrack for hovertrains that will connect the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi and the country's largest city, Dubai. It is expected that the construction of this road will be completed by the beginning of the world exhibition in Dubai, in 2020. The total length of the new transport artery is 150 km.
According to the company's chairman, Bebop Grest, the cost of one kilometer of the new track will be from 20 to 40 million dollars per kilometer, depending on the area through which the way will pass.
It is expected that the speed of the hovertrain will reach 1,120 km/h, which means that the journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai will take approximately 10 minutes. The capsule of the new train has already been assembled at the factory in Spain, and now it is being tested in France. According to economic calculations, the project will fully pay off within 8-15 years.
